Vestition ceremony of first batch of Preachers of Divine Mercy:

The vestition ceremony of the first batch of Preachers of Divine Mercy (PDM) was held today at the PDM monastery at Divine Mercy Hills, Attapady, Kerala. The ceremony was solemnised by His Excellency, Most Rev. Mar Jacob Manathodath, Bishop of Palakkad Diocese who blessed and handed over the holy habit to the three brothers. His Grace was the main celebrant of the Holy Mass alongwith Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil (Director - Sehion Ministries), Rev. Fr. Binoy Karimaruthinkal, Rev. Fr. Jose Alakkakunnel (Director - Sehion Retreat Center), Rev. Fr. Antony Nedumpurath (Joint Director - Sehion Ministries), Rev. Fr. Samson Manoor and Rev. Fr. Joy Chembakassery.

Sr. Amy, Co-Founder of Abhishekagni Sisters of Jesus and Mary (ASJM), Sr. Benitamma (CMC) alongwith a few other priests and religious also participated in the solemn ceremony and offered their prayers and wishes. The ceremony was held in the chapel of the PDM Monastery, in strict compliance with all the Government mandated restrictions pertaining to the ongoing pandemic.

Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil and Rev. Fr. Binoy Karimaruthinkal are the co-founders of Preachers of Divine Mercy (PDM) which was instituted by Most Rev. Mar Jacob Manathodath, Bishop of Palakkad Diocese on 24 April 2018. The brothers will now continue their theological studies, leading a monastic life of penance and prayer, studying the Word of God and preparing themselves to preach the Divine Mercy of God throughout the world.
