Attappady Divine Mercy Feast 2020

On the occasion of the Feast of Divine Mercy on 19th April 2020, a one day pilgrimage will be organised in Attappady from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The pilgrimage and prayer services organised for the day will include - 13 hour Holy Eucharistic Adoration at Sehion Retreat Center, a 3kms pilgrimage to be undertaken on foot (by walking) from Sehion Retreat Center to Preachers of Divine Mercy (PDM) Monastery at Divine Mercy Hills and celebration of Holy Mass at 6.a.m, 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Divine Mercy chapel at PDM Monastery in Attapady.

All are welcome to participate in this pilgrimage as a penance and pray for the mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ for their personal intentions as well as for the following special intentions marked for the day :

1. For the conversion of all sinners
2. For our home country
3. To overcome all the evil prevailing in the world by making reparation for all the sins of mankind
4. For all priests and nuns around the world
5. For the entire region of Attappady.

Those who wish to participate can come either individually, as a family or as a group and participate at any time convenient to them between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Those participating as a group are requested to register at the Sehion Office, Attapady at the earliest.

The pilgrimage is scheduled as follows:

- All those undertaking the pilgrimage are requested to begin by joining in the Holy Eucharistic Adoration at Sehion Retreat Center.
- From there, at a gap of every 5 mins, a group will begin their 3kms pilgrimage (45 mins walk) from Sehion Retreat Center to Divine Mercy Hills praying for all the prayer intentions mentioned above as well as for their personal intentions.
- There will be Holy Mass at the Divine Mercy Chapel in PDM Monastery at an interval of 3 hours beginning with the first Holy Mass at 6 a.m. Those who wish to participate in the Holy Mass should select a time slot for the pilgrimage accordingly.
- Arrangements for food and refreshments will be made at Sehion Retreat Center.
