Eighth Commandment of God

"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour"

1. Did I tell lies? Deliberately to deceive?

2. Or injure others by lies? Did I commit perjury? Have I ridiculed or humiliated others?

3. Was I uncharitable in word or deed, gossip or reveal other's faults and sins?

4. Did I fail to keep secrets I should have? Borne false witness?

5. Am I guilty of lying, tale bearing, trouble making, malicious gossip?

6. Listened to gossip? Judged rashly? Injured others by lies? Or by injurious names?

7. Revealed hidden faults of others? Neglected reparation for these sins?

8. Have I ruined the good name of others by spreading lies or maliciously revealing their faults and sins?

9. Criticised others and self justified?
